Annotatsiya

This article examines the issues of the comparative methodological approach and the aesthetic transformation of the literary image within the framework of translation studies. The research focuses on the dialectical unity of form and content in the process of literary translation, as well as on the mechanisms of recreating nationally specific features of artistic thinking in a different linguistic and cultural environment. Particular attention is paid to poetic translation, where the preservation of the metrical system, rhythmic structure, intonational pattern, and imagery is considered a key criterion of aesthetic adequacy. The article provides a comparative analysis of poetic excerpts in the Uzbek language and their Russian translations, and offers theoretical and practical recommendations for translation into English. The analysis demonstrates how the folk tone and human warmth of the original are conveyed in translation through poetic and stylistic devices. As a result, it is argued that achieving aesthetic equivalence in literary translation is not based on word-for-word rendering, but on maintaining the unity of imagery, intonation, and emotional impact.
