This article examines Abu Hafs Nasafi’s Kitab al-Kand, which contains more information about the science ofhadith than any other source dating back to the 12th century. This source was considered one of the lost works until the beginning of the 20th century. Its discover)’ was a great innovation in the coverage of the history of our homeland in general and the history of Samarkand hadith studies in particular.
