This article explores the evolution of medical terminology in media discourse, focusing on how hermeneutic theory guides post-editing practices to ensure machine-generated texts reflect nuanced interpretive meanings. It reviews key literature on media discourse, medical terminology, machine translation, and post-editing, emphasizing the role of hermeneutic philosophy in interpreting semantically complex medical terms. Drawing on empirical studies (e.g., Martikainen, 2019; Kasperė et al., 2024) as well as insights from linguistics journals, the paper contextualizes the challenges of aligning automated outputs with hermeneutic intentions. Special attention is given to Uzbek and Russian perspectives, incorporating local scholarship. The findings suggest that hermeneutic awareness helps post-editors preserve semantic depth, improve terminological accuracy, and maintain stylistic integrity. The study contributes to mediadiscourse analysis and provides recommendations for integrating hermeneutics into post-editing protocols in healthcare translation.
