In modern linguistics, the emergence of Russian scientist M. Bakhtin's theory of speech genres laid the foundation for the linguistic tradition of studying a number of linguistic issues that had not been solved in linguistics. Bakhtin's theory of speech genres laid the foundation for the linguistic tradition of studying a number of linguistic issues that had not found their solution in linguistics, including speech units with a specific speech purpose, compositional structure, and style. Nowadays, the study of linguistic and extra-linguistic features of speech genres is becoming popular. In different system languages, a speech sentence of condolence is formed on the basis of a specific communicative purpose, textual compositional structure, stylistic variety, as well as linguistic and extra-linguistic factors such as addressee, addressee, time, space, speech and non-verbal means, and linguistic features. The presence of these factors directly determines the linguistic position of empathy as a separate speech genre. The article is devoted to the study of sociocultural features of the speech genre “condolence” in different system languages. The peculiarities of lexical, grammatical, and stylistic means of expressing sympathy in the social life of different countries are analyzed, as well as the influence of social and cultural factors on the choice of language forms. The study is based on a comparative analysis of cases demonstrating different strategies of expressing sympathy in specific situations. The results of the work allow us to identify common and specific features of condolence expression in different linguistic cultures and emphasize the importance of taking into account the cultural context when interpreting acts of speech communication. From this point of view, the study of linguistic aspects of the speech genre “condolence”, reflecting the national peculiarities of the Uzbek language, shows the relevance of the study.
