This article analyzes the role of seasonal and ritual songs in Uzbek and English children’s folklore. The study examines the formation of seasonal songs, their historical roots, and their significance in children’s games. In Uzbek folklore, these songs often have a ritualistic context and have been passed down from adults to children. In English children’s folklore, counting rhymes and songs related to ghost summoning are prevalent. The research findings indicate that seasonal and ritual songs help shape children’s perceptions of nature and society.
