Annotatsiya

This article explores the national and cultural characteristics of phraseological units with a zoonymic component in the English and Uzbek languages. Zoonymic phraseological units, which include animal names, constitute a distinct layer of the phraseological fund, reflecting national identity, cultural and historical experience, and the worldview of a people. A comparative analysis of zoonymic phraseological units in English and Uzbek helps identify both universal and culture-specific features of perceiving the world through animal imagery.
