The article presents a linguistic-semantic and artistic-aesthetic analysis of the word “eye” in Spanish and Uzbek literary traditions. The author analyzes how the word "eye" is used in both languages through its semantic and aesthetic interpretations, exploring its place in language and culture. In Spanish, the word "eye" is referred to as "ojo," with its historical development and semantic changes examined. In Uzbek, the word "ko‘z," belonging to the Turkic language family, is analyzed from a semantic and linguistic perspective. The article shows how the word "ko‘z" is used not only as a physical organ of sight but also in relation to psychological, emotional states and metaphors. In literary works, various aspects of the eye are depicted. In both Spanish and Uzbek poetry, the eye often reflects the inner emotions, psychological states, and feelings of individuals. The eye is commonly used to express feelings such as love, happiness, and sorrow. In Spanish literature, for example, in the works of Gongora and Lorca, the symbolic and metaphorical use of the eye is emphasized, showing its mysterious, contrasting, and significant role. In Uzbek literature, great poets such as Alisher Navoi and Abdulla Qodiriy used the eye as a symbol of vision, emotion, and love. The main aim of the article is to conduct a deep analysis of the semantic and artistic-aesthetic significance of the word "eye" in Spanish and Uzbek literary traditions, as well as to show how this word is used in metaphorical and cultural contexts. The research helps to gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of language and culture, introducing readers to the approaches used to evaluate cultural expressions and metaphors.
