This article discusses the problems of understanding the world of communication between artistic images, the place, tasks and possibilities of mankind in the work of the famous German writer J.W. Goethe “Faust”. In particular, the existence of an integrative (dominant) relationship between the images is explained by their position in the system, their hierarchy in terms of the ideological and artistic burden they carry.
