В данной статье рассматриваются исследования, проводимые в области лингвистики в нашей стране, в частности, исследования терминологии и лексикографии, а также их исторические научные источники. Узбекская терминология с течением времени обогатилась за счет специализированных терминов и заимствованных названий объектов и понятий из других языков, особенно из русского. В настоящее время лексика нашего языка также изменяется за счет заимствований из английского языка. В статье даются определения понятий «термин» и «обозначение», поясняется, что термин – это международно признанное слово, обозначающее определенное понятие в любом языке, в то время как обозначение – это слово, характерное только для конкретного языка, которое обозначает объект, предмет или действие, относящееся к определенной области.
