This article analyzes the reflection of cultural characteristics and linguistic features in the defense speeches of English and Uzbek lawyers. The dependence of legal discourse on cultural factors, differences in national legal traditions, and rhetorical styles are examined. Furthermore, an analysis is conducted based on examples from the defense speeches of English and Uzbek lawyers, highlighting the similarities and differences in legal argumentation, word choice, and rhetorical techniques. The article provides real examples from court proceedings, allowing an evaluation of how legal discourse is formed and its effectiveness in different cultures.
