The article is devoted to the study of the role of authentic materials in teaching foreign languages to students of non-linguistic universities. In the context of globalization and international integration, proficiency in a foreign language is becoming a necessary skill for specialists in various fields. However, teaching foreign languages in non-linguistic universities faces certain challenges, such as a limited number of teaching hours and the need to integrate the language into the professional context. The article discusses the benefits of using authentic materials, such as professional texts, films, podcasts and other resources that bring the learning process as close as possible to the real language environment. The study used questionnaires, observation and testing to assess the effectiveness of authentic materials in developing students' language skills. The results showed a positive impact on improving listening, reading, speaking and writing skills, as well as increasing students' motivation. Students note that authentic materials help them better understand cultural characteristics and use the language in their professional activities. Further research is recommended to optimize the selection and use of authentic materials in the learning process.
