This article provides information on the formation and development of phraseologisms in English and Uzbek linguistics, and analyzes the research of phraseologisms in both languages in linguistics. Today, phraseology, which gives a special look to our communication, has attracted the attention of many scientists, in fact, phraseology is a popular field of various philological investigations. According to scientists, phraseological units are related to understanding as cultural phenomena, and their cultural characteristics are studied in the sentences in which they take part. Thus, the word "phraseologies" was included in the scope of sociolinguistics. One of the best definitions of a phraseological unit is as follows: it is a stable, coherent combination of words that are partially or completely figurative.
