This article scientifically studies the economic content of the concept of investment potential and its role in regional development. It covers the essence of investment potential as an economic category, its structural structure and functional significance in the regional economic system. It also analyzes the impact of investment potential on regional economic growth, employment generation, diversification of production and innovative development processes. As a result of the study, the strategic importance of investment potential in regional development is substantiated.
