The article analyzes the features of the use of expressive means in the language of the newspaper. It is known that newspaper and publicistic speech is, first of all, speech that needs to be influenced. Therefore, it takes into account the interests of the audience as much as possible. Also, newspaper speech has social significance from the point of view of speech circulation. The role of the author in the use of linguistic means of expression in newspaper texts is particular importance. In describing events in the text of the newspaper, the author's intervention manifests itself as a law that determines its originality, strength and expressiveness. Since the language of a modern newspaper is a complex literary product, its influence on the literary language can also be assessed positively.
