This article examines the role of phytonyms – plant names – in linguistics and their lexical properties. Phytonyms are important lexical units in language, and their semantic, morphological, and phraseological features are analyzed. The study discusses the meanings of phytonyms, their semantic fields, explicability in language, and cultural contexts.
