This article provides a scientific and historical analysis of the development of physical education and sports education in schools in the Surkhandarya region from 1941 to 1990. The study covers the period from military physical training during World War II to the popularization of sports in the post-war period, the organization of children's sports schools, the development of sports and existing problems. The article reveals the specific features of the history of Surkhandarya sports education based on the analysis of archival materials, scientific literature and periodicals.
