This article analyzes methods aimed at developing students' creative thinking competence in the process of teaching pedagogical subjects. The characteristics of verbal, demonstrative, practical, research and interactive methods, their impact on cognitive and creative processes and the conditions for their application are scientifically covered. As a result of a literature review and practical analysis, a system of methods is proposed.
