This article analyzes the mental features of proverbs related to the concepts of love and hatred in English and Uzbek from a comparative perspective. The article examines proverbs as paremiological units that reflect folk thinking, national mentality, moral values, and cultural memory. The concept of love is interpreted in connection with kindness, loyalty, faithfulness, humanity, family relations, and emotional closeness, whereas the concept of hatred forms a semantic field associated with hostility, anger, enmity, envy, evil, and negative moral evaluation.
