This article examines phraseological units containing clothing components in the English and Uzbek languages. Phraseological units are one of the important layers of language, reflecting the cultural values, worldview, and historical experience of a nation. Clothing is an integral part of human life and serves as an important sign of social status, culture, and traditions. Therefore, the names of items of clothing have played a significant role in the formation of many phraseological units. Both English and Uzbek languages contain numerous figurative expressions related to clothing. The article studies the semantic, structural, and cultural characteristics of such expressions and highlights the similarities and differences between the two languages through examples.
