The article is devoted to the repressive policy of the Soviet governmenttowards Soviet Germans during the Patriotic War. Soviet Germans from thenational autonomy of Volga Germans and other central regions of the former USSRwere deported mainly to Kazakhstan and Siberia. There was no deportation toUzbekistan, however, the Uzbek Germans were evicted from Tashkent to theregional regions of the republic by decree of the Center. In the article, the authorexamines the phased mass mobilization of Soviet Germans from Central Asianregions into the labor army, their dynamics, and legal status. The inspectiondocuments indicate the most difficult working conditions in the labor army andmultiple offenses, as well as heavy human losses. Analyzing the impact of therepressive policy of the Soviet government on the lives of Soviet Germans duringthe war, the author concludes that they were under the relentless supervision ofstate structures, and only by the end of the first post-war decade did attitudestowards them begin to change.
