Annotatsiya

The novel by the Uzbek writer Abdulla Qadiri "Days gone by" is not only the first novel in Uzbek literature, but also one of the most beautiful works, a unique historical novel of all world literature. Written in the first half of the 20th century, the novel reflects the events of the history of Turkestan in the second half of the 19th century. The novel raises many social problems of that time, and accurately conveys the lifestyle of Uzbek people. For this reason, this work has been translated into many languages of the world many times. And today the novel "Days Gone by" attracts the attention of many researchers within the theory of translation. This article discusses the concepts of “realias”, their methods of translation, the principles of historical, cultural, national truthfulness in translation, as well as the problems that arise while translating realias into another language.
