This article examines the role and significance of phraseological units and paremias in linguistics, focusing on their semantic, stylistic, and cultural value. As products of national mentality, phraseologisms and proverbs enrich the expressiveness of language and reflect the worldview, customs, and historical experiences of a people. They hold an important place in various branches of linguistics, including lexicology, stylistics, pragmatics, and translation studies. The paper analyzes the structure, meaning, and usage features of these units, highlighting both theoretical and practical aspects of their study. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the importance of phraseological units and paremias in language acquisition and cultural development.
