The comparative study methods of phraseological units hold a special place in linguistics. These methods examine idioms, proverbs, set expressions, and other fixed combinations across languages, identifying their semantic, structural, and pragmatic features. Through comparative analysis, both universal patterns and national-cultural peculiarities of phraseological units are revealed. The main methods include semantic analysis, structural-comparative analysis, cognitive-metaphorical approach, translation and cross-cultural analysis, as well as discursive-contextual analysis. These approaches are significant not only for the theoretical development of phraseology but also for translation studies, linguoculturology, and cognitive linguistics.
