This article analyzes the representation of the female image and gender roles in the works of the renowned English author Jane Austen and the prominent Uzbek writer O‘tkir Hoshimov. It explores how both authors depict women’s roles in society, their struggles, social pressures, and relationships with men through different literary approaches. The study highlights the connection between literary images and the social contexts of both historical and contemporary periods
