This study explores the role and characteristics of connective elements in the German language through a methodological approach combining descriptive and pragmatic linguistic analysis. Based on the examination of authentic written and spoken materials, the research identifies the structural features, functional roles, and communicative functions of connective elements in different types of discourse. The results reveal that connective constructions not only ensure textual coherence but also serve important pragmatic purposes such as enhancing expressiveness, softening categorical statements, and guiding the flow of conversation. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of German syntax and provides insights valuable for language teaching, translation, and intercultural communication.
