This article examines the challenges and solutions related to developing the media competence of special subject teachers in vocational educational institutions. Media competence is recognized as an integral part of modern education, requiring not only proficiency in digital technologies but also critical reception, analysis of information, and effective integration into the teaching process. The study analyzes the current technical, methodological, and motivational issues in Uzbekistan's vocational education system and proposes practical measures to address them. Enhancing media competence is identified as a crucial factor in improving the quality of education and preparing a workforce suited to the demands of the digital economy.
