This article examines contemporary approaches and effective methodologies for developing dialogic and monologic speech in Russian language lessons at schools where Uzbek is the primary language of instruction. Particular emphasis is placed on techniques such as role-playing, dramatization, the use of visual and audio materials, and the creation of communicative situations that simulate elements of real-life interactions. To foster monologic speech, the article identifies specific types of tasks aimed at description, retelling, argumentation, and construction of coherent statements. Additionally, the paper offers practical recommendations for integrating digital technologies and cultivating a psychologically comfortable learning environment that encourages active verbal engagement among students.
