This article examines the phenomenon of suffixation, a key component of the word-formation system in both English and Uzbek, from a comparative perspective. The research focuses on analyzing the specific features of word-formation processes involving suffixes in both languages, emphasizing their semantic and functional aspects. Based on an analysis of theoretical sources and scientific literature, the article identifies similarities and differences in the vocabulary systems of the two languages.
