It is well-established that non-verbal communication is the primary means of interaction between preschool-aged children (up to 7 years old) and adults. Around the age of four to five, an additional situational-cognitive form of communication emerges, aimed at exploring the objective world. During this period, children also develop a more complex and advanced situational-personal form of communication, through which they acquire knowledge about the world of people and human relationships. This article discusses the significance of non-verbal communication in children's interactions, as well as the positive and negative effects of non-verbal cues used in cartoons on children's development.
