This article describes the use of numbers in phraseological and paremiological units and their meaning in linguistics. The types of phraseological units, their form, and syntactic structure, as well as their characteristics as a linguistic phenomenon, are also discussed in detail. Phraseological units, in contrast to form-syntactic structures, are interpreted as verbal units that do not arise through free choice and replacement of words in speech but are used as material for meaning and specific lexico-grammatical structures. Paremiology is considered a science that studies wise sayings and proverbs. The relationship and differences between these two areas are analyzed.
