This article examines the process of preserving the unique national characteristics of the Uzbek language after the Republic of Uzbekistan gained independence. The author emphasizes that the characteristics of the national language become especially noticeable during comparative analysis. It is also noted that until recently, the study of the Uzbek language in the context of the theory of speech genres did not receive due attention. Particular attention is paid to the speech genre "toast" and its derivatives, such as "wine", which reflect the evolution of religious beliefs from divine to social. These genres are seen as linguistic attributes characteristic of different eras and belief systems. The author argues that spoken language serves as a mirror of the historical, social and temporal characteristics of a people, providing a unique perspective on linguistic diversity and its functions in society.
