In this article, the defective verbs in the science of “sarf” and “nahv” of the Arabic language are studied. As a result of our research, differences between defective verbs have been shown in the science of “sarf” and “nahv”. The purpose of the research work is to differentiate between the defective verbs studied in the science of “sarf” and the defective verbs studied in the science of “nahv” based on the original Arabic sources.
