This article provides a comparative analysis of verbal means of expressing consent in the English and Uzbek languages. The study focuses on the semantic principle and the influence of cultural and national characteristics of the worldview on the ways of expressing consent. Particular attention is paid to the nature and functions of speech means used in both languages.
