This article analyzes the main methods of teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Unique approaches and methods commonly used in ESP classes are discussed. Particular attention is paid not only to the expansion of vocabulary, but also to the development of the four basic language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing, which require specific teaching methods adapted to the function and form of the language used in a particular professional field. Teaching English for specific purposes is one of the most challenging areas in education due to the specific training and competency requirements.
