The main purpose of this article is to examine the educational strategy and effectiveness of the EFL textbook series "Prepare", focusing on its approach to improving the listening skills of Uzbek English language learners. Listening is considered the most difficult skill in language learning and is essential for effective communication. This analysis aims to shed light on how the Preparation textbook addresses the nuances of listening instruction through its pedagogical design and appropriate selection of resources. By examining the textbook's listening components, exercises, and teaching methods, we aim to evaluate its alignment with best practices in English language teaching and its impact on students' listening skills. This analysis not only highlights the contribution of the Preparation textbook to English language teaching in Uzbekistan, but also informs researchers, educators, and curriculum developers seeking to optimize English language teaching and learning in other countries.
