The article discusses the importance of educating the younger generation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, starting from the initial stages of education, with an emphasis on developing a love for culture, history, art, literature, language and national values. It is emphasized that priority is given to creating spiritually mature and intellectually capable individuals who will be able to develop these values in the future. The education of such individuals is a key factor in solving social, economic and cultural problems, as well as in the formation of a national idea. Particular attention is paid to the role of musical art in the development of spiritual consciousness and worldview, and its influence on a person’s moral and aesthetic feelings. The article analyzes the methodology of teaching the discipline “Musical Literature” in specialized music schools, with an emphasis on the use of modern methods, forms and techniques of work in the classroom, as well as on the development of musical and artistic taste and skills among students. The tasks of developing in students a deep understanding and appreciation of musical works of various genres and styles are considered.
