This article analyzes the role of civil society organizations in the formation and implementation of Uzbekistan's environmental policy. The main goal of the research is to determine the participation of civil institutions in environmental policy, their role in control, monitoring, and the formation of environmental culture, as well as to identify ways to improve this process. The article examines the reforms being carried out based on the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Environmental Protection," the national project "Green Space," and the Concept of Environmental Policy for 2022-2030. Additionally, international environmental conventions such as those of Rio de Janeiro (1992), Kyoto (1997), and Paris (2015) and their significance for Uzbekistan are studied. The research employs methods of analysis, comparative approach, and content analysis of documents. The findings indicate that while civil society organizations in Uzbekistan play an important role in environmental education, volunteering, public oversight, and local monitoring, there is a need for financial and organizational support for their activities. The article proposes the formation of a "green NGO network," strengthening environmental education, and incorporating information technologies into environmental monitoring. The research results aim to enhance the role of civil society in democratizing environmental policy and ensuring sustainable development.
