This article examines the role of culture in the translation of phraseological units related to the world of art, as well as approaches and techniques for translating artistic terminology. Cultural codes serve a dual purpose: on the one hand, they consolidate a system of views and ideas in the language, and on the other, they create connections between the material and spiritual aspects of the world. The study of phraseology, expressions and terms in the Uzbek and English languages allows us to identify both common and unique features characteristic of the representation of various aspects of the world in the linguistic consciousness. It also demonstrates the changing nature of language stereotypes and symbols.
