In this article, the classification and semantic features of phraseological units are analyzed, which are considered one of the interesting parts of linguistics, in particular, somatic phraseology with the component “eye”. As an object, phraseological units with the component “eye” used in the story “Old school” by S. Ayni are analyzed with several examples. Moreover, phraseological units were studied dividing into groups according to their semantic characteristics.
