In this article, French and Uzbek phraseological units with the participation of lexemes of household items are studied in a comparative aspect. In particular, among such items as "le couteau - pichoq" was analyzed in accordance with the qualifying signs in various aspects reflected in the phraseological meanings of proverbs and sayings.
