This article analyzes the peculiarities of the use of metaphors in the language of modern journalism, particularly in newspaper headlines. The research focuses on the headlines of the newspapers Jadid and Hurriyat, examining the metaphors used in them from semantic, stylistic, and functional perspectives. The authors highlight the theoretical foundations of metaphor and explore its lexical, phraseological, conceptual, and emotional types, identifying how these metaphors contribute to the aesthetic and communicative load of headlines. The study reveals aspects such as imagery, emotionality, expressiveness, and the influence on the reader. Furthermore, the article demonstrates the role of metaphors in the aestheticization of journalistic language, the indirect expression of the author’s position, and their significance in the national-cultural context. This work serves as an important academic source for studies in media linguistics, stylistics, and journalism theory.
