The article is devoted to the analysis of current aspects of original radio journalism. Taking into account the fact that researchers have not yet developed an essential definition of the concept of “author’s radio program”, the publication presents the result of an analysis of various approaches to defining the content of the concepts “radio program” and “author’s radio program”, an attempt has been made to indicate the specifics of the author’s radio project, based on a generalization of the domestic radio practice, the signs of a modern author's radio program are identified, the problems of national author's radio journalism and ways to solve them are identified.
