This article presents archaeological findings from the historically significant Akhsikent settlement, including various ceramics, numerous coins dating from the 9th-11th centuries, evidence of high-quality steel production, as well as diverse tools and jewelry. It chronicles the city's extensive history, from its establishment in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC, through its role as the capital of Davan, the ancient Fergana state, to its ultimate destruction by an earthquake in 1620. The article discusses archaeological excavations conducted since 1885, detailing the city's tripartite structure and the chronological layers from different periods.
