This article provides a systematic analysis of the current state of the tourism industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the dynamics of investments directed to the sector, and the actual demand for human resources. Within the scope of the study, structural gaps between labor market requirements and the qualification levels of graduates from tourism education institutions (higher education institutions and vocational education) were assessed using empirical and statistical methods, with particular emphasis on the skills mismatch phenomenon. The findings reveal insufficient integration between the public and private sectors in preparing hospitality professionals who meet international standards. Based on the results, institutional recommendations were developed to enhance the effectiveness of human capital in the tourism sector.
