The article considers the directions of increasing the efficiency of regional tourism in the Republic of Karakalpakstan by activating the internal reserves of the industry. The need for systematic use of interseasonal periods for personnel training, infrastructure certification, repair and improvement, as well as for organizing low-budget tourist programs is substantiated. The proposed measures are aimed at stabilizing employment, increasing enterprise income, improving the quality of tourist services, and forming a sustainable model of regional tourism development.
