This article analyzes the role of the mahalla institution as a social structure in New Uzbekistan. The historical role of the mahalla, its socio-economic, cultural-educational, and spiritual-moral functions in society are examined. The article explores the significance of new reforms, such as the implementation of the "Mahalla Seven" and the establishment of the mahalla budget. Additionally, the development trends of the mahalla institution, ongoing reforms, and proposals are analyzed. The article aims to determine the role and importance of the mahalla institution in the renewing Uzbekistan, as well as to highlight its prospects for societal development.
