The work is an interdisciplinary study combining archaeological, architectural, andhistorical-cultural analysis of residential buildings in Bukhara in the 16th–19th centuries. Thearticle reveals the features of the design solutions of residential buildings, the influence ofreligious and ethnocultural factors, as well as the relationship between the social status ofresidents and architectural typology. The results obtained are of interest to specialists in the fieldof history, architecture, restoration and cultural studies
