This article presents information on the study of the basic laws of children’smental development, the acquisition of knowledge about the characteristics of mental developmentat different ages (infancy, infancy, early childhood), as well as its characteristics in preschool age,the characteristics of the development of children's cognitive processes in preschool age, and thestages of psychological preparation for school education.
