This article highlights the professional methodological competencies of students, their types, and significance. Competencies encompass both theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogical activity. The types of competencies, including theoretical, practical, technological, reflexive, and personal, are analyzed in detail. The role and importance of developing professional competencies in the education system are demonstrated. Recommendations aimed at fostering students' personal and professional growth are also provided. The study is intended for specialists and students working in the field of pedagogical education.
