This article examines the necessity of resocialisation for individuals released from penal institutions, the importance of the principle of differentiation in the process of re-socialisation, the specific aspects of working with ex-convict women, the problems they face and ways to overcome them. It does so by analysing the experience of different foreign countries. Based on these analyses, suggestions and recommendations are developed to eliminate the identified problems.
